A brand new exhibition was opened in Wroclaw at the beginning of December. It exposes the beauty of water without which life could not exist. Hydropolis is a multimedia presentation about the incredible properties of water and the real nature of H2O. It is really a good idea to get on a tour around the world of water.
 
On the premises of Miejskie Przedsiebiorstwo Wodne we Wroclawiu, Na Grobli 19-21 there is an exhibition like no other. This is not a museum, but it seems like we can say that Hydropolis is one. It tells a beautiful story about the ‘history of water’, its properties and unique values, and teaches what it does for humans and nature.
 

Water is life

The exhibition includes eight themes. One of them, “the Planet of Water” depicts the history of this amazing compound in the universe and its role in the creation of life. Going further, we can meet water creatures, enter a capsule used to dive into the Mariana Trench and learn about the history of discoveries connected with water. Hydrological machines will amaze the fans of engineering. The sounds of water accompany the whole presentation, which creates the right atmosphere to think about the topic of water in art and religion. But that’s not all. Hydropolis explains the role of water for a human body. You will find out how much water to drink a day, and how much should a newborn drink.
 

The exhibition never ends

The exhibition will continue to grow, so new themes, equipment and multimedia attractions will regularly appear there. Which means that this exhibition is worth coming back, and one visit is just the beginning. After all, water is not a closed topic, we keep discovering its beauty and power.
 
The regular entry ticket price is PLN 27, and the discount ticket is PLN 18. Entry tickets are available also online. We enter the exhibition at fixed hours, as there is a movie display which opens the visit.
