Christmas is coming soon!

Mulled wine, the sweet smell of gingerbread and 100 ideas for gifts - Wroclaw's Christmas Market is one of the most vivid evens of the year. The real Christmas spirit spreads in Wroclaw's city centre since 17 November. Traditionally, it is the place which marries the useful with the pleasure: we can do the Christmas shopping and try the best dishes of Polish cuisine.

For many Wroclaw residents the Christmas Market is closely connected with… the winter mug for mulled wine. Each year, this beverage is served in a special way. The mugs are to be taken home as a souvenir. It is impossible to imagine the time before Christmas without a visit in Wroclaw's Rynek. This year, the event takes place from 17 November to 22 December, so we have the whole month to try the unique mulled wine and check out the widespread Christmas Market. The stands appear on the square of Rynek, Oławska street, part of Świdnicka street and, what is unusual, Plac Solny square.

Christmas Market comprises stalls of wooden houses, where we can all find unique gifts for the loved ones. It is the place to look for inspiration and choose something different than the typical present from the shopping mall. Handmade jewelry and decorations from all over the world, ceramics or beautifully decorated bags are just the examples of what's is available for all the Santas this year. Maybe a unique, personalized bauble with dedication  or a coin made especially for the occasion turn out to be perfect gifts?

Smakowity Peron serves real Polish cuisine. Bigos which will warm you up or Polish pork leg supposedly taste best with a pinch of Christmas spirit. You can also try oscypek cheese with cranberries and honeys from various parts of Poland. The fans of foreign cuisines won't be disappointed either. Hungarian langos' and kalachs, cheeses from Austria and Spanish tapas - all that is available in the heart of Wroclaw before the Christmas time. Children who visit the market with their parents can go play in the Fairy Forest.

Up till 22 December, we can all enjoy various attractions. It is really worth coming, as Krasnal Prezetus [Gifty Dwarf] shows up only once a year: if you touch his hat three times, you will have all your dreams come true.
